I’m starting a new series of paintings inspired by the beautiful, sweeping, sandy beaches of Northeast Scotland. Here’s the first one of a moody Cruden Bay beach to start off.
I went to the beach, did some pastel sketches and took some photos, then did this painting back in the studio. It is 60 x 80cm in oil paint.
