With Art Specialists being cut in our primary schools, and not much provision for extra curricular art classes, I believe there is a general lack of specialised art teaching for children at the moment. I felt this with my own children which is why I started teaching the after school kids art club at their primary school, and enjoyed doing so for 5 years. I now teach kid’s art classes from my own studio in Newburgh.

I have experience in teaching art to both children and adults. Since graduating in 1998, I’ve taught many art classes and workshops as part of Community Art and Public Art projects, in schools, further education colleges and art galleries (see my CV for details)
The classes run every day after school, and I have students from P1-S4 in them. I do P1-3 classes on a Tuesday 3.30-4.30pm & 5-6pm, and age P4+ classes on a Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri 3.30-4.45pm with an extra class on a Wed 5.15-6.30pm. I also teach a daytime Home-Ed class on a Tues 10.30-11.45am. They are currently £10 per class for P4+ and £8 per class for for P1-3, this includes all materials, payable termly.
I also run a monthly academy-age Saturday morning art class from 10am-12noon. This one costs £20 per class, including all materials.
My classes are currently all full, but if you are interested in this for your child, or would like any further info, please contact Jane and I will put you on the waiting list.
