Book – ‘The Lost Village’

£10.00

A book written by my dad and illustrated by myself.

My dad wrote this story when I was a child and we were on holiday in the small local fishing village of Collieston. It is inspired by the true story of Forvie Village which was buried under sand during a terrible storm around 500 years ago. He gave it to me a few years ago and it was forgotten about until I decided to do something with it for his 80th birthday last year. Since many of my paintings are of the piece of coastline where the story is set, I used many of them as illustrations and made it into a book. It’s a lovely little story, suitable for adults and children (it features a boy & a talking seagull) about the importance of looking after our environment. It would make an original gift for anyone interested in this area or with an interest in coastal things anywhere!

Size is 20 x 25cm, 28 pages long, full colour, soft cover.
